Join the Five Rivers Team
Five Rivers offers a variety of employment opportunities depending upon your focus and stage of career development. We strive to develop our employees internally and promote from within. If you are passionate, humble, and strive to grow and develop, explore our career opportunities. Employees at Five Rivers enjoy competitive salaries and one of the most comprehensive benefit packages in the industry.
Internships & Feedyard Trainee Programs
Most Five Rivers feedyards offer internship and trainee opportunities to gain real-life experience in all aspects of the cattle feeding industry. You will be given a hands-on approach to learning about the technical aspects of the animal health, feed delivery, feed mill, and yard maintenance functional areas. In addition, you will be offered the opportunity to network with other interns and trainees and gain additional knowledge of management and leadership.
The majority of our internship and trainee positions are filled by applicants we meet at one of the many university fall career fairs we attend. On-line applications for our internship program are generally accepted from September through November each year. Internship hiring decisions are made by December. Trainee applications are accepted and positions are filled year round.
Professional Training and Advancement
As a member of the Five Rivers team, we offer employees significant individual challenges and opportunities for broadening skills and building successful careers. Each feedyard department provides individualized on-site training to help employees meet the requirements of their positions or to develop new skills.
The company also conducts a range of role based specialized programs through Five Rivers University. These programs help employees enhance their perspective of our company, the industry, leadership, and business in general. Because of these efforts, we’re able to develop strong internal candidates and promote from within when filling management positions throughout the company’s locations.
